What if an autumn leaf carried you to India?

CIN’s Turmeric tone is part of the Red Revelation collection of the brand and promises to bring magic and wonder to any space.

Inspired by the seasoned colour of eastern spices, CIN’s #E720 Turmeric tone takes us to the warm light of turmeric, or its texture in ancestral celebrations. This year particularly, CIN’s autumn leaf takes us on a flight to the colours of India, an inner journey through the glow of our dreams.

November is a month for roasted chestnuts and the cosiness of the last rays of sunshine. A late summer that gets extended even further with this tone from CIN, a strong warm colour which heats and renews your home in a magical invasion of eastern energies.

Darker than traditional yellow and more orange than mustard yellow, the #E720 Turmeric tone creates an engaging and tonic atmosphere. With its sunny touch, it brightens up Scandinavian, ethnic, vintage, industrial and modern environments, merging in perfect harmony with a wide variety of colours.

CIN’s new colour brings us on a journey of imagination, detailing aromas, flavours and landscapes from India, where yellow adorns the walls of mansions in Goa and havelis in Rajasthan – a palace tale inside your home.

This is one of the many colours featured on CIN’s website, in the Colour of the Month’s inspiration section. In this section you can find many more inspiring images with the Turmeric colour applied, as well as some of the other tones included in CIN Colour Revelation 2020, an iconic catalogue fully inspired by Nature, highlighting the best of the four elements: earth, water, air and fire.

Dense and deep, Charcoal #E734 is CIN’s most sophisticated tone

Between a touch of sophistication and a detail of audacity, CIN’s new colour Charcoal #E734 adapts to either a more classical personality or a spark of modernity. CIN’s darker and denser tone is part of the Neutral Revelation collection and stands out this fall with its dense and cosy feel.

Ideal to highlight a lighter decoration in contrast with its darker tone, CIN’s Charcoal #E734 stands out not only by its timeless colour but by its unique texture, conveying refinement and depth to each place where it features.

Standing between the light of grey and the safety of black, Charcoal #E734 is the tone of the dark and sober slate which subtly enters each home. Covering a whole wall or merely a detail, this new tone from CIN gets its inspiration from the colour of burnt wood, forming a perfect and elegant symbiotic relationship with Nature.

Charcoal #E734 is ideal for a classical, sober and refined environment but also for a graphic, modern and daring feel, which enhances its versatility, capable of combining different types of decor. CIN’s new tone is a timeless colour that serves as the background for each space’s expression.

This is one of the many colours found in CIN’s website – Colour of the Month inspiration section. This section contains many more inspirational photographs with the Charcoal colour and also other tones featured in CIN Colour Revelation 2020 catalogue, an iconic catalogue fully inspired in Nature, highlighting the best of the four elements: water, earth, air and fire.

Small soulless spaces? CIN helps you give each corner a new live

How many times have we left small spaces without soul because we did not know how to decorate them? Some corners just do not stand out and need a new colour to pop out. For this reason, CIN, the Iberian leader Portuguese brand in the coatings market, gives you some ideas on how to confer a touch of joy that renews any space.

As a first tip, CIN highlights the 60-30-10 rule. This colour combination system can be used in any space helping to create a unique and harmonious decoration environment.

Choose a dominant colour for 60% of the room – the walls, for example –, another colour in 30% of the space, which may be in some corner or prominent element – just a feature wall or the ceiling – and finally a more discreet touch of colour (10%) with a stronger tone that brings small details to life.

As a rule, luminous colours make small spaces visually larger, which is why white is commonly chosen for the room and light colours for the different elements. But this is not the only option!

We have numerous colour combinations:

If you don’t want to risk with vibrant colours and white is not an option as it is too obvious, the neutral range is always the right choice. The #E675 Carrara White, a slightly greyish white, or the #E733 Soft Grey, a light grey, are two ideal CIN tones for capturing light and creating the illusion of greater amplitude. The touch of vivaciousness can be achieved with bright fabrics colours in cushions or carpets, or coloured decorative elements.

If the area has a back wall opposed to the door where the light enters, choose a dark and elegant colour such as #E734 Charcoal, which will create a depth feeling. In other CIN colour ranges, we also highlight #E694 Burgundy, #E702 Petrol Blue or #E738 Rainforest which, apart from depth, also confers colour and vivaciousness.

CIN’s September colour, #E736 Red Clay, is a good option and is ideal for strong and vibrant personalities, as it creates memorable and striking spaces. Vivaciousness and depth can also be achieved by painting the walls with an intense or dark tone in contrast to the white ceiling. In this case, it is necessary to adjust the lighting to visually separate the walls making the best use of that contrast.

If you wish to add a pop of colour without risking too much, pastel tones are our best allies. Pinks such as #E690 New Blush or #E718 Rose Breeze, are ideal to sweeten a space. Alternatively, greens such as #E724 Succulent Green or #E737 Olive create an harmonious connection with nature, while the blues #E721 Glassy Blue or #E739 Light Blue fill the spaces with calm and tranquillity.

Passion, tenderness and purity combine in the new RED REVELATION collection from CIN

From the most enthusiastic to the quietest workers. Painting our days of focus and efficiency is easy when we surround ourselves with the right colours for our personality.

If until recently our home was our refuge of rest and fun, now we have to use it as a workspace, changing our mindset and our behaviour. Knowing the influence that colours can have on the way we feel and act, CIN, a Portuguese brand and Iberian leader in the coatings market, has provided a range of key colours to decorate your home office and set leisure and duty apart in a harmonious balance.

The office is the place that characterizes each worker and, although the computer and the mobile phone are common elements nowadays, there is one indispensable detail: a decoration that customizes the space and makes us feel good! Whether it’s a minimalist style or one that takes us into the middle of the century, the important thing is that your home office merges with the other rooms in perfect harmony, taking into consideration the influence of colours on our focus and performance at work.

First of all, we must eliminate the monotony of the environment around us. Although nude colours help us to concentrate, they actually make the space duller. We can create an office with light or pastel tones, but we must include a touch of colour and brightness that can activate our brain for daily challenges. With the workers’ current needs in mind, CIN has selected a set of key tones.

White is always our best ally to create serene environments. But why not give it a different touch? We can use signature tones, like Linen # E684 white cream, for greater freshness, or Carrara White # E675, a slightly grey tone reminiscent of marble. In addition, if the space is small, the brightness of the white will help to bring a greater sense of dimension.

You can also opt for shades of light grey, like the new Soft Gray #E733 or Greige #E683, a very timeless and neutral blend of grey and beige.

But how can we add that touch of excitement that every ‘home office’ needs? For more creativity, we advise the use of yellows, but if we need more peace and memory, the right choice will be on blues. Greens and pinks are synonymous of serenity, while oranges help to keep us active and awake for everyday life.

The Colour Revelation catalogue features other more vibrant shades, such as Turmeric #E720, Into the Blue #E696, Caribbean #E705 or Mustard #E714, which should be applied in small doses (edges, prints or drawings) with joyful details without going over the top. If we are colour lovers and want to give our workspace a different touch, then we should go for powdered or pastel shades, like the colour of the year Pink Oyster # E735, the new Light Blue # E739 or Olive # E737. In this way we can paint half a wall or create, for example, a geometric wall, always combining with a neutral tone to avoid excessive stimuli.

Colours are our great ally in a house, extending our personality to every nook and cranny. That’s why it is important to think not only about how the walls are painted, but also about the shades of furniture or objects that come into view daily. The premise is clear: opt for a neutral base, adding bright colours (to a greater or lesser extent, depending on taste and irreverence of the spaces).

2020 is the year of Pink Oyster – a happy, soft and optimistic colour

CIN, a Portuguese brand and Iberian leader in the market of paints and varnishes, reveals the colour trends for 2020 in the new edition of the already iconic colour card, Color Revelation, an essential reference in architecture, design and interior decorating.

With eight new shades across four colour spectra, through this new colour palette the CIN Color Revelation 2020 colour card traverses the environments and textures of natural elements. Specifically, if you want to create unique atmospheric spaces with harmony, freshness, luminosity and elegance, the softness and texture of the pink Pleurotus mushroom inspired the colour chosen to represent 2020Pink Oyster. The new colour designed by CIN completely flees from conventional standards, awakening sympathy, sweetness and optimism with its delicate tonality and unique softness.

Among the 40 colours created by CIN to highlight the beauty of any space, there is a set of new shades that inspire limitless combinations and that express the pure forces of nature. In addition to the colour of the year, Pink Oyster #E735, other additions to this year’s colour card are Soft Grey #E733Charcoal #E734Red Clay #E736Seaside #E740Light Blue #E739Olive #E737 and Rainforest #E738.

Céline de Azevedo, Colour Designer at CIN, points out that “the Color Revelation colour card is the result of tremendous dedication by the whole team which, over the years, has designed and developed a project that has become a benchmark in the market”. CIN´s Colour Designer also added that the eight new shades launched this year “will further enrich the harmonious and coherent colour palette that the brand has been developing throughout the 4 years of Color Revelation”.

Colour of the Year 2020: Pink Oyster

The main highlight of the Color Revelation colour card is Pink Oyster #E735CIN’s 2020 Colour of the Year. Both luminous and soft, Pink Oyster blends the sweetness of orange with the delicacy of pink. Inspired by the nuances and enchanting natural beauty of the pink Pleurotus mushroom, this new CIN colour is truly a revelation, created to convey friendliness, sweetness and optimism in home decoration.

Neutral Revelation Range

As the softest and most neutral range in the CIN colour card, Neutral Revelation adds two new shades, which despite contrasting with each other, are inspired by the same elements: Soft Grey #E733, a softly silent grey colour, suitable for minimalist atmospheres, which breathes light and tenderness, where wellness prevails. On the other hand, Charcoal #E734, in its dense and dark shade, is an elegant backdrop, highlighting the accents of careful decoration and attention to detail.

Red Revelation Range

In addition to Pink OysterRed Revelation range includes Red Clay #E736, a colour with a distinguished personality inspired by the nuances of that material. Definitively timeless, yet also modern and trendy, Red Clay tells us about history, nature, our relationship with the earth and with a craftsman’s know-how in decoration.

Blue Revelation Range

Two new colours from Blue Revelation range that are totally complementary and that can share spaces without upstaging each other. For radiant days and refreshing atmospheres, the luminous, fresh and aquatic blues are back, inspired by warm and transparent waters. Color Revelation 2020 now includes Seaside #E740, a colour that immerses us in the serene blue of the summer sea, and Light Blue #E739, a discreet and delicate, even tenuous blue, which reminds us of crystalline waters, enjoyable in silence, without thinking about the time we would prefer to trickle by.

Green Revelation Range

They are the intense greens of pure nature and the celebration of life; they are the soft and delicate tones of an organic and serene lifestyle. There are two new colours of Green Revelation range, transporting nature and its different nuances to interior spaces: Rainforest #E738, a celebration of sustainability and the environment, and Olive #E737, the olive-green shade that inspires comfort and simplicity.

Colorrevelation.com, a more involving form of revealing colours

In addition to the iconic Colour Trends colour card, colorrevelation.com is the website specifically dedicated to this collection of colours. On this website, it´s possible to browse the colours in the collection, view and be inspired by the story of each one through videos and request the delivery of the new Colour Trends 2020 colour card to your home.
